CREATIVE DIRECTOR TO OUR BRAND ACTIVATION TEAM!
We at WorkShop are currently looking for a senior Creative Director to own, drive, and lead our Brand Activation team and creative output across experiential, retail, and brand experience projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a highly experienced creative who combines exceptional design craft with strategic thinking, storytelling, and commercial understanding. You don’t just sell ideas — you shape strong creative strategies, build powerful brand experiences, and turn creativity into business impact.
You will report directly to the Brand & Business Strategy Director. Together, you’ll help grow a best-in-class creative team while scaling our brand activation offering globally.
About the Role
This is a senior creative leadership position with full ownership of creative direction across brand activations, experiential projects, pop-ups, events, and content-driven experiences — both physical and digital.
You will act as both strategic lead and lead creative: setting creative vision, developing strong concepts and narratives, leading teams, and personally contributing hands-on design and creative production when needed. You are as comfortable in Adobe Creative Suite as you are leading client conversations, pitches, and long-term creative strategy.
We’re looking for a creative leader with an entrepreneurial mindset — someone who understands the full creative process from insight to execution and thrives in building ideas that live in the real world.
What You’ll Do
• Own and lead creative direction across multiple brand activation projects from strategy to execution
• Drive strong conceptual thinking, storytelling, and experience design
• Lead and inspire Brand Activation project teams across the European network
• Stay hands-on in design and creative production when required
• Build high-impact presentations that clearly communicate strategy, concept, and creative vision
• Lead pitches and new business opportunities end-to-end
• Build trusted client relationships and long-term partnerships
• Ensure high creative quality, efficiency, and timely delivery
• Collaborate closely with project managers on scope, budgets, and timelines
Who You Are
You are a senior creative leader with deep hands-on design expertise and a strong strategic mindset. You think holistically about brand, experience, and communication — and know how to turn business challenges into meaningful creative solutions.
You bring calm leadership, strong opinions backed by insight, and a collaborative approach that elevates both people and work.
Experience & Skills
• 12+ years of experience in creative roles, with at least 5 years in leadership/management
• Proven experience as Creative Director or Senior Art Director within brand activations, experiential, retail, or events
• Strong strategic and conceptual capabilities with clear storytelling skills
• Deep hands-on design proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (SketchUp a strong bonus)
• Experience leading pitches and presenting to senior stakeholders and clients
• Strong understanding of production, execution, and real-world delivery
• Background in marketing and communications is highly valued
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating both concept and craft
• Confident communicator and inspiring creative leader
• Fluent in English
